Winter Summerland vs. Fantasia Gardens

I’ve stated that one of our favorite “extra” activities at Disneyworld is the Mini-golf! They are fun and a great wy to “get away” from the parks for an hour or so.

We’ve done all 3 courses at least 2-4 times each. I’ve reviewed each course here:

Winter Summerland

Fantasia Gardens

What I am often asked is: “Which course do you like the most?”

Well, that is a subjective question.

If you are a fan of Fantasia, then you are going to love Fantasia Gardens. If you love Christmas year round, you’ll love Winter Summerland.

I personally love them both, but if I had to choose, I would choose Winter Summerland. It is very easy to get to, being in the parking lot of Blizard Beach. Fantasia Gardens is not difficult to get to, if you have a car, or are staying at an Epcot resort, or you can walk over when visiting Epcot, but it is not nearly as convienet as Winter Summerland.

The number one reason I would pick it over Fantasia? The trees! It is MUCH shadier than Fantasia Gardens. We almost died from the heat at Fantasia last time we were there, with little relief because of the lack of trees.

I love the effects and theming at each one. Each one unique in its own way. If I HAD to pick a favorite side at Winter Summerland, I would probably choose the summer side – even though I want to say winter. The summer side has this bridge with a fish that spits water. I have very fond memories of my oldest boy (when he was little) trying to figure out how to outsmart the fish and get by with getting squirted with water. It was hilarious! Then when we went the last time, my little boys tried to do the same thing! Great memories 🙂

So choose which theming interests you the most. If that doesn’t matter much to you and are going during the day, go for the course with the most shade 🙂 Regardless of which course you choose, you are going to have a wonderful time with many great memories made!
