Top 5 Snacks at the Magic Kingdom

Top 5 Snacks at the Magic Kingdom

Snacking is one of my favorite things to do at Disneyworld. One of the things that Disneyworld has over Disneyland (I LOVE both places!) is food. The food at Disneyworld is WAY better than Disneyland. I did my top 5 favorite snacks at Epcot (that was HARD to narrow down!) and now, here are my Top 5 must have snacks at the Magic Kingdom! What are your favorites? Did I miss any?

1. Dole Whips – This just had to be number one. This is my favorite at both Disneyland, Disneyworld, and Aulani. I love me a Dole Whip! My kids actually aren’t huge fans (what is wrong with them?!?! I don’t think they are mine 😉 ), but that just leaves more for me. I’ve had the Dole Whip Floats, and while they are delicious as well, I always go back to the classic Dole Whip. This is the one treat that is an ABSOLUTE must for any trip to Disney.

2. Cinnamon Rolls – I am still a little bitter about Starbucks taking over the Main Street Bakery. The cinnamon rolls there were HUGE and delicious! We always had to split them because they were so large. With the Bakery no longer in the Magic Kingdom, Gaston’s now saves the day when it comes to my Cinnamon Roll fix. Now they are not quite the same as the ones they used to make at the Bakery, but they are HUGE and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised and happy to have another place to pick up my beloved Cinnamon Rolls. These are definitely worth stopping for! YUM (dang it! I need a cinnamon roll now… I guess I should go make some… or fly to Orlando and pick one up – same thing right?)

3. Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich – this is available at a few different places in the Magic Kingdom, including Sleepy Hollow Refreshments and the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. These sandwiches are GIGANTIC! I could never eat one myself. We buy them and split them between 2 (or 3) of us! We always pick up a few and eat them while we watch the fireworks at night! You can pick the type of ice cream and cookies you want – They are a great snack on a warm day!

4. Mickey Kitchen Sink Sundae – My kids absolutely LOVE their Mickey Kitchen Sink. It was a great souviener to bring home – big thanks to their Aunt for buying it for them while we were there 🙂 The sundae that you get in the sink is very large as well. It is enough for the entire family to share, and then you get to take the sink home! How awesome is that? Souvenier and a delicious Ice Cream treat all in one! IMG_2351 IMG_7632

5. Big Top Treats – this is a bit of a cop-out, but if you are wanting a treat, or many treats, head over to Big Top Treats. There is something there to please every member of the family! Caramel Apples, Fudge, Cupcakes, House-made Caramel Popcorn (my FAVORITE – I LOVE fresh caramel popcorn!). You can even watch snacks being freshly made in front of your eyes (reminds me of the Candy Kitchen at Disneyland!)
