I had heard of the mythical Be our Guest lunch fastpass. I want to eat there on our trip, but I don’t want to stand in the 30-40 minute lines just to get food. I was bummed when the option for a Fastpass+ didn’t show up when I was booking our Fastpasses for our trip. Then I get an email that said this:
Oh YEAH! Looks like you have to be staying at a Disneyworld hotel to get the Be our Guest lunch fastpass and they send you an email with the steps to get it. Plus, it is in addition to your other 3 fastpass+, so you don’t have to use up your valuable fastpass+ spots!! SWEET!
I wanted to book it for the second week we were there, because my sister-in-law will be with us. However, it looks like the system will only allow you to book it for the first 7 days of your vacation. BUMMER! Now I have read that you can change it to later in your trip, or get a second fastpass+ for later in your trip, once you are already there and talk to someone, or use your first and then book the second. I am not sure, if it can be done – we might try once we are there – but I didn’t want to give up the opportunity to dine there with a fastpass+ and miss the lines, so I went ahead and booked it for us. Hopefully, we can get a second one for the second part of our stay or change it to the second week, but if not, at least we will have gotten in once without a line!!
When I first logged on, it would only let me book the first few days of our trip. I then did some research, and found out you can only book 28 days in advance. So I waited a few days, and it was available for the day we wanted to go, exactly 28 days in advance.
You can pre-order your meal, or simply just get a fastpass+ to the ordering stage. I chose to pre-order our meal and go straight to our table, as the less time in lines, or waiting for anything with my kids is preferable. I already know what we will want on the menu, so it was easy to pre-order it. If we change our minds, it is easy to change your order via the website!
So you go to the Be our Guest lunch fastpass website from the link in the email (you can google it was well, but you need a Disneyworld reservation # to logon) and you see a page like this (I did it on my phone to get easy screen shots, it looks pretty much the same on the computer)
Here is the main menu for the Be our Guest lunch fastpass, where you can change your fastpass time, you meal selection, etc.
When you select and/or replace your Be our Guest lunch fastpass time you are taken to a calendar, with only the first 7 days of your trip highlighted to book:
Click on the date you want your Be our Guest lunch fastpass. If it is more than 28 days in advance, it will tell you there are no times available:
If you don’t see the time that you want, all you need to do is click “back” and then “next” again, and it will give you 2 new times, if other times are available. For some reason, it only gives you 2 time options at a time, even if there are more times available.
You can Choose Fastpass+ or Direct to table
If you choose Direct to table, like me, then you will need to select your meals, and they let you customize those options as needed.
As you can see, I had to get 2 of the “grey stuff – it’s delicious” for my family to try and share.
YIKES! Yes, this is an EXPENSIVE lunch. That is the price for 2 entrees (my husband and I are sharing a sandwich, and each getting a bowl of soup, but it is the same cost as 2 entrees – no drinks – we just drink water), 3 kids meals, that come with a drink (my 2 youngest share, as they don’t eat much), and 2 deserts to share. Now, I did order the souvenir castle cup. If I were to eat here a second time, I would not order that. So my total would be under $60, but still! I guess it will be a treat 🙂 We usually don’t spend that much when we eat dinner out as a family. Good thing we have a full kitchen in our villa to save money on other meals!
Then you confirm the Be our Guest lunch fastpass reservation and you get this:
They don’t give you a reservation # and it doesn’t show up in the My Disney Experience, so it makes me a little nervous… but it does show up on the website, so I will assume that it is all good and ready to go!
YAY!! I am excited to try out Be our Guest lunch fastpass and see the cool castle and decor inside. I’ll try and take lots of pictures to share and give an entire review of the process, food, and decor when we return!
