Disney changes

Wow! It has been awhile since I have been on here! Oops! I think there was something about having baby #5 and then kids being home for summer! Since we are leaving for Disney again in less than 2 weeks, thought I would give you an update on some of the biggest changes that have happened at Disneyland this week – it’s alot!

It was just announced that Disneyland is building a new parking structure and transportation hub. In doing this, they will create a pedestrian bridge across Harbor Blvd. I knew when Disney bought the Carousel Inn they had plans. Who knew it would be to get rid of it? Too bad – it was one of the nicer hotels along Harbor, One of the 3-4 I would actually recommend staying at. Bummer. However, this new hub and parking lot should help with traffic, congestion, and pedestrian traffic. To read more about it, head on over here to the Disney Parks Blog.

They also announced the end of the popular Paint the Night Parade. I am so glad we will be there for some of the last showings! I am excited to see it.

With that also came the announcement that the Electrical Parade is returning to Disneyland! This makes me happy! I LOVE this parade. It is the only one we wait for and actually wait to see. I saw it way back when it was originally at Disneyland (I was a kid). I saw it a few times when it was at California Adventures and then each time we have been at the Magic Kingdom at Disneyworld, we’ve made time to watch it! I’ve also seen the Spectromagic Parade at Disneyworld, which is also very similar (and soon I’ll see Paint the Night too!). The Electrical Parade will always be my favorite and I am glad to see it return to its originalĀ home.

It has also been announced that Tower of Terror in California will be closing and re-themed to GuardiansĀ of the Galaxy! So this will be our last chance to ride it as the Tower of Terror – in California at least!

So many changes at the Happiest Place on Earth. I am always excited for change – it keeps me coming back year after year.

Hopefully, I’ll have some fun updates when we get back in a few weeks!
