Annual Pass Price Increases

Both Disneyland and Disneyworld experienced changes in their annual passes this morning. I heard late last night (at like 11pm – changes went into effect at midnight) that this was probably going to happen. If you are wondering about day tickets to the parks, insiders report that the price of one- and multi-day tickets to the resorts are expected to increase in November. *sigh* I wish I could buy our Disneyland tickets for next year ahead! (why do they have to expire? That is the BEST things about Disney World tickets – they don’t expire until you use them!)

Now for Disneyland, this seems to be a once or twice yearly change. We had annual passes a few years ago, and the price of those passes has almost doubled in price from what we paid just 4 years ago (we paid $329 for the Deluxe – I bought it before the price increase that year). However, I see why Disneyland has to make them more expensive. Disneyland seems to experience record attendance levels each year even with the increased prices. Many locals make the parks busy, even during the “low” Seasons.

As for Disney World, there seemed to be mixed reviews about the increase. There was an increase in prices, but they also included photopass pictures and parking, so many don’t seem to mind the increase
